Course Description 50 Miles: (Check out the 50 mile course) Head northwest on Pechanga Parkway (toward Temecula) through a residential area with several traffic lights. The intersections are uncontrolled, so obey all the signals. Leave the traffic behind when you turn south on Rainbow Canyon Road, passing through Temecula Creek Golf Course, then a short climb up Rainbow Pass followed by a long, straight descent through Rainbow to Rest Stop #1 at Mile 9. Some of the faster riders may bypass this rest stop. The ride then crosses west over Interstate 15 and turns right, up Mission for another short but steep climb. At the summit, the ride turns left to Live Oak Park Road (watch oncoming traffic), a fast, oak-shaded descent down to Reche Road. Turn right and climb through Fallbrook and Olive Hill as you come to SR 76 in Bonsall (you will pass a McDonald’s and AM/PM on the left which have restrooms). A winding country road takes you through Camino Del Rey under I-15 to 395. Head south to Rest Stop #2 which is adjacent to a market and restrooms. From Rest Stop #2, head south to the first left to Circle R, and then begin a long curving climb up to Lilac Road, head north over the infamous Couser Canyon and then up to Highway 76. At Highway 76 you will take a short jog west before turning up Rice Canyon for the last hard climb of the day. At the entrance of Rice Canyon is Rest Stop #3, the final rest stop. Rice Canyon takes you back into Rainbow, where you will return over Rainbow Canyon Road and back to Pechanga Parkway where you will head southeast, back to the finish line. The 50 mile ride has approximately 4000 feet of climb. All routes are subject to change. 25 Miles: (Check out the Course) Wind through Redhawk before entering Pechanga Parkway (toward Temecula).
